A year ago, we were celebrating an incredible milestone: 20 years of Avoca.
Looking back, it was more than just an anniversary. It was a celebration of the people, relationships, and community that have shaped who we are.
When Charles Elders founded Avoca in 2005, he started from a home office as the sole employee, handling everything from client meetings to administration, invoicing, and emails. If it needed doing, he did it.
At the same time, Charles began supporting Youth Focus through the Ride for Youth, a partnership that reflected the values he wanted Avoca to stand for. Over the years, he completed 18 rides with Hawaiian Ride for Youth, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to supporting young people and mental health initiatives across Western Australia.
Last year also marked 20 years of Avoca proudly supporting Youth Focus as a Gold Sponsor. What began as a shared commitment to making a difference has grown into a long-standing partnership dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people across Western Australia.
Today, 21 years later, giving back to the community remains a core part of who we are. Charles remains the same driven leader he was when he founded Avoca, supporting clients, guiding staff, and helping others succeed.
Our 20th year was also one of the most significant in our history, with Charles being named the NIBA 2025 WA Broker of the Year - a recognition that reflects not only his leadership but also the dedication and hard work of the entire Avoca team.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. Here's to how far we have come, and to everything still to come.
