Today we're looking back to the year 2020, when we unveiled this stunning, custom-designed decorative suite for 140 Perth. Rather than providing a standard Christmas package, we developed bespoke decorations that took full advantage of Railway Lane's bold architectural structures, using them as a platform for a layered and immersive installation.

The display featured a series of custom-designed illuminated ceiling features, combining reflective gold elements, warm lighting and neon accents. Every component was carefully designed and positioned to complement the existing architecture and urban character of the laneway, while creating visual impact from multiple vantage points and drawing visitors deeper into the space.

With the laneway operating as a busy public thoroughfare, the design and installation required careful planning to ensure both durability and maximum visibility. The result was a striking and unique seasonal activation that highlighted the precinct's strongest architectural features and drew visitors into the mall. It's also a demonstration of our ability to develop creative, site-specific designs that respond to a location's unique character, overcome complex installation challenges, and deliver memorable visitor experiences.

It’s always special to look back at where some of our most valued client relationships began. In 2019, we started working with City of Perth, Woodside Energy and Dexus, three valued partnerships that have continued to grow and remain an important part of our journey today.

That year, we transformed the Capital Square Tower 1 foyer with a festive display celebrating Australia, featuring a beautiful native kangaroo. Woodside Energy embraced a more traditional Christmas feel for their foyer with a stunning 6m-tall tree.

2019 was also our first year contributing to the City of Perth Christmas Lights Trail. We made a splash with our majestic 6m-tall reindeer positioned in the middle of Elizabeth Quay. We also installed the fairytale horse and carriage at Claisebrook Cove and a variety of other stunning displays throughout Perth bringing a touch of Christmas magic to the city.

What makes these partnerships so special is seeing how the projects continue to evolve. Every year brings new ideas, fresh concepts and creative opportunities to transform these spaces in different ways. Six years on, we’re incredibly grateful to still be creating together and watching these long-term partnerships grow year after year.

We love creating captivating festive spaces, so contributing Christmas decorations for the City of Stirling event space last year was a pleasure. Our Coastal Chill styling theme was used to decorate the Christmas trees and wreaths and was the perfect match for the Hampton-style theme.

Baubles of cooling silvers and tranquil blues were complemented by beachside-themed accent baubles in the shape of starfish and seahorses. The decor paired beautifully with the other decorative elements in the space and created a uniquely Australian-feeling festive atmosphere.

Site visits are an important part of our design and project planning processes. During the early phases of concept development they provide a clear understanding of your spaces, architectural features and finishes, including the best orientation for displays depending on pedestrian entrances and view points.

We also consider technical details such as fixing points, power locations and access restrictions. These and other factors, help to clarify the design brief so the concepts we develop are perfectly suited to your location or asset as well as your operational requirements.

This early understanding of your site also simplifies project planning as site specific considerations have already been addressed in the design process. Modifications are always possible but are generally minimised by incorporating a site visit into the early planning phases.

It's always nice to look back at projects that have evolved over time. Back in 2018, we created this Christmas display for 256 Adelaide Terrace, Perth, featuring two 1.8m decorated Christmas trees, gold plinths, and our custom-designed light trees. Together, they transformed the foyer into a warm and welcoming festive space.

Over the years, the design evolved to keep the display feeling fresh and contemporary. Our signature light trees made way for illuminated golden reindeer, and the Christmas trees received a luxurious new look.

Carefully designed to maximise impact without compromising the functionality of the space, this display has returned year after year through our annual hire program, allowing it to stay fresh while maintaining its festive impact. Seeing its transformation over the years is something we're incredibly proud of. 🎄

Well-defined strategic objectives are essential to achieving your desired outcomes, so we explore considerations such as:
- your target audience and customer experience goals, for example, whether you want to create interactive engagement, photo opportunities or visually stunning static displays,
- any branding and campaign considerations to be incorporated into the designs,
- site-specific opportunities and limitations, including operational requirements,
- budget parameters and project timelines.

Today, we're looking back to 2017 and the stunning decoration suite we delivered for Riverton Forum (Stockland Riverton at the time). This was the first custom-designed, whole centre decoration package we delivered. The design blended traditional Christmas styling with striking modern components.

It featured oversized gift-wrapped presents "spilling" decorations and lights onto large trees and throughout the centre’s seating areas. Complementary present boxes and decorations were also strategically installed along mall ceilings and through ceiling voids. A magical, interactive Santa set, including animated reindeer and styled to coordinate with the other centre decorations, created an enchanting experience.

Our approach of working collaboratively with the centre's team to develop a visually dazzling concept that was unique to their centre and addressed all operational considerations proved to be a highly successful model that we continue to employ. We love that each Christmas season brings new opportunities to create original, innovative decorations, Santa sets and memorable festive experiences that deliver results for our clients.

As we move into our second decade, we remain excited about collaborating to create stunning new Christmas experiences that drive visitation, increase dwell time and promote community engagement in shopping centres around the country.
