If youโve read our recent client reviews, youโve probably already heard about Jocelyn! Jocelyn is a massive part of the reason our clients describe getting a home loan with us as such a breeze. Having started her finance career back in 2008, she brings a wealth of practical knowledge to every application.
She's highly organised, incredibly thorough, and acts as your personal finance translator when dealing with our panel of over 35 lenders. Here is what Jocelyn had to say about her work and what makes her tick:
Whatโs your favourite part of the job? "I'm definitely a 'people person' so I genuinely enjoy interacting with others and all the relationships I get to build. I love having good long chats with my clients: getting to know them, understanding their goals, and showing them how their mortgage fits into that bigger picture."
Sunday afternoon plans? "After a busy work week and often too many sporting or social commitments, my ideal Sunday afternoon involves my husband taking the kids for a bike ride so I can peacefully enjoy the latest True Crime Documentary before tackling the usual dinner, bath, and bedtime routine."
One myth you'd love to bust? "Many people hear about the Government Schemes that mention only a 2% or 5% deposit is required, but they aren't aware they also need to cover purchase costs and stamp duty. This makes a big difference, which is why people should always come speak with a broker to check what contribution they'll need to chip in."
