Budget 2026
Perpetual gives a reasonable summary and I have placed a link below.
I summarise it like this: No mandate to change CGT- Negative Gearing - tax on Discretionary Trusts - end result - no trust in whatever the Govt now says.
It is hard to see any real meaningful outcomes from this budget as debt increases, with spending and migration remaining at high levels.
We have to get back to surplus budgets and a serious effort on debt reduction. :-)
