LIONS is a world-wide service organisation that is over 100 years old. The motto of LIONS is 'We Serve', and of course there is no higher calling. All of the hours of service, and proceeds from activities are provided gratis to local charities and humanitarian relief both in Australia and overseas. But further to this, LIONS is a social club for fun, and for achieving goals that are usually beyond
individuals or groups to accomplish, due to the organisational structure of LIONS, such as with insurance, profile, reputation, integrity, ability to legally solicit, community recognition etc. Any member can offer up projects, that may then be accomplished if taken up by his or her 'club'. LIONS welcome civil minded citizens to join them in their activities, and if all is agreeable, may be invited to join the club.
