The Finance Association of Western Australia (FAWA) was founded in 2009 at UWA and quickly grew into one of the most established and recognised student run organizations in WA. Our mission is to cultivate a forum for interaction between students who share an interest in finance and the corporate sector, whilst actively supporting members in developing the professional skills and knowledge needed t

o succeed in the business arena. In 2010, FAWA was awarded the honour of ‘Best New Club’ and has since developed a strong membership base of 1,700+ students as well as an expansive number of alumni and a strong network. As an independent student body, FAWA aims to enable students from a multitude of disciplines to engage, develop and express their interest in finance and business outside the boundaries of the university curriculum. FAWA provides a conduit through which motivated students can further advance their passion for commerce, whilst developing the requisite core skills for their future careers as young professionals in the corporate sector.

Join Citi for an evening at Citi to learn more about Global Markets (Sales & Trading). This session will give you an opportunity to learn directly from our traders about how markets work, what drives trading decisions and how they react to real-time global events. Plus, hear from their analysts about their career paths and how they suggest successfully navigating upcoming internship applications. The event concludes with an open networking session – your opportunity to ask your questions on what a career in Global Markets really looks like.

This event is hybrid, with the networking session open to participants in person. There are a limited number of seats in person – once allocations are exhausted, remaining RSVPs will be via Zoom. Priorities will be given to Penultimate year student to attend the in-person session.
