With interest rates increasing again this month, now is a really good time to check that you’re still getting the best deal on your home loan.

It’s never the news homeowners like to hear, especially when household budgets are already stretched.

Whether your home loan is fixed or variable, it’s a good reminder to check in on it and know where things currently stand.

To put a 0.25% increase into perspective, if the full rise was passed on to a principal and interest loan with 30 years remaining, it could look roughly like:

🏡 $400,000 loan → around $65 more per month
🏡 $600,000 loan → around $97 more per month
🏡 $800,000 loan → around $129 more per month
🏡 $1,000,000 loan → around $162 more per month

For now, keep an eye out for any updates from your lender and make sure you know exactly what rate you’re paying.
