As you are all aware, bushfires have been raging across the eastern coast of Australia for many weeks, our colleagues and partners in the UK, New Zealand and across Asia have been checking in on us to make sure we are all safe and not impacted by what can only be described as some of the worst bushfires we have experienced in our lifetimes.
Fortunately we are in most instances okay, but there are many communities not so fortunate; we are inspired by the many fund raising efforts by our staff and businesses within PSC and with this in mind the company has decided to donate $60,000 to the Australian Red Cross to compliment the activities across the group.
Why the Australian Red Cross you may ask?
Well the Australian Red Cross has no state allegiance so it will direct its support wherever it’s needed and as we know the bushfires are affecting many regions across Australia, it’s also focused on the people impacted by the fires (versus infrastructure) and that’s something we always think is important at PSC as We Make it Personal.
It’s a tough time for many people and communities across the country and we feel it’s important as a company we unite to assist where we can.
We know these fires have meant that a large number of our own people are putting in long hours and offering our clients great support which we’d also like to recognise and acknowledge; thank you to all our people who are helping those impacted by this tragic event.
Yours Sincerely
Rohan Stewart | Group Chief Executive Officer
