Just an update on my treatment and health:

Unfortunately, my test results after my mastectomy were less than ideal, so over the next 6 months I will be undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy, followed by 10 years of hormone therapy. I had my first session of chemo yesterday, and I have now made the decision to not take on any new clients for the next 6 months. The time and energy I have available for work will be devoted to my current clients, who have been amazingly supportive through my treatment so far. Once I get through the next 6 months and my energy increases again, I will be able to take on new clients again 😊

20,000 women in Australia will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. 1,000 of those women will be under the age of 40.

Last month at 34yo I became part of that statistic.

If only one thing happens from my getting this diagnosis, I hope it is that someone else out there learns to how to self check or realises age does not automatically count us out!
