The emerging world is underrepresented in Australian university campuses. Unlike traditional commerce clubs, Emerging Markets Network (EMN) specialises in the finance, economics and politics of developing societies. Our topics of interest include, and stretch far beyond, China’s financial markets, economic development in Southeast Asia and

the intersecting geopolitics of the BRICS nations. Some events are educational in nature and aim to develop students’ understanding of the developing world. Other events are designed to bring students together with industry, expose them to potential career pathways related to emerging markets, while at the same time providing organisations with a high-quality pool of motivated potential interns and graduates.
