The Christmas period represents a whole host of opportunities for increased sales. Have you ever considered how the increased business could affect your insurance over Christmas? If the answer is no, here are a few key things to look out for and keep in mind:

After months of uncertainty and growing calls for a clear pathway to lift the state's strict COVID-19 border rules, targets on when will reopen to those locked out have finally been set.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has outlined a roadmap to reopen the state's borders to COVID-19 hotspots for fully vaccinated people by Christmas. She said modelling showed 80 per cent of Queenslanders could be fully vaccinated by December 17 and said if vaccine targets were reached sooner, the date could be brought forward.

But she said even if the state did not reach 80 per cent, the date was "locked in" and would not be pushed back. That is good news for families to be reunited for Christmas.
