Thanks Ocean Grove for a wonderful turn out to OG parkrun #336. It was a splendid morning.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers, without you all parkrun wouldn’t be able to go ahead.
A special thanks to the volunteers who pop their name down and rock up on a Saturday morning to a blistering wind and perhaps we’ve double booked the role you thought you were going to be down for… we appreciate your willingness to pivot to something else, so thank you.
We also want to acknowledge the wonderful attitude and commitment from our junior (under 18yo) volunteers! We are very lucky to have such great young people helping week in and week out for OG parkrun. One in particular has reached 25 volunteers today! Thanks Sophia!! We’re lucky to have you!
We had visitors from Newcastle, Darwin and various Melbourne locations. Thanks for coming to visit us. Special thanks to Kim for sharing some parkrun stories from afar also. Kim has completed 461 parkruns in 11 different countries and shared their favourite spots across the globe!
We also had 3 people complete their 50th parkrun today with us!!!! Wow! That’s so great. Congrats to Becky, Adrian and Brooke!!!
We had 4 first timers to parkrun and hoped you enjoyed the experience and will be back soon.
Well done to all 93 finishers. With a strong headwind and all! Some amazing times were recorded today and smiles a plenty.
