Your rate isnt the most important thing when you are trying to buy property!

These are the 4 key things in order of importance to consider!

1. Income

Insufficient income will stop you before you even get started.

2. Current debt

There is a limit to what us an acceptable risk to a lender, current debts will reduce your borrowing capacity.

3. Loan Structure

Key piece that brings its fair share of loans to a halt! Using the wrong lender is the most common, lender policy matters.

4. Rate

Rate is important and reducing how much interest you pay is a focus, but as my mentor wisely use to say the cheapest rate is the one you will get approved!

After yesterday’s post, I had a few conversations around car finance.

And it’s interesting — a lot of people rule themselves out before even exploring their options.

Here are a few common ones I hear 👇
“I’m self-employed, so I probably won’t get approved”
“I don’t have a huge deposit”
“My income isn’t consistent”
“I’ve got existing debt already”

The reality is…
Every lender looks at these things differently.
What one lender won’t consider, another might be completely comfortable with — it just comes down to structure and policy fit.
That’s where most people get stuck.
They assume the answer is no, when really they just haven’t found the right approach yet.
