The 2026 Strata Impact Conference wrapped up on 20 and 21 August at Mondrian Gold Coast, sold out for another year.

Strata Community Insurance has been a founding supporter of the Strata Impact Conference since it began in 2024. We support it because of what it makes possible.

Dr Nicole Johnston’s research report on conflicts of interest in the strata management industry has been shared with state and territory governments, strata professionals and governments in international jurisdictions. It is a substantial piece of work, and it is having a real impact on both industry practice and law reform.

Conference convenor Dr Nicole Johnston, Principal of Strata Knowledge, on what that support has meant:

🤝 Stronger Together: MGA Whittles Conference 2026

Last week, our State Manager-WASNT Ben Corby, along with BDMs Kendel Sparnon (SA/NT), Tracy Norris (QLD) and Sarah Kempton (NT), attended the inaugural joint MGA / Whittles conference - the first of its kind - and it did not disappoint.

From an opening call to "participate, not spectate," to a marketplace buzzing with genuine conversation, the energy was clear from the start. Add in a poolside welcome dinner, a theatrical dolphins show at Seaworld's Dolphins Cove, and a gala finale that took the "royal" theme to the next level - every moment delivered.

Ben summed it up well:

"As a leading Strata Insurer, we were drawn to the conference theme 'Stronger Together' as we value the power of connection between Insurer/Broker/Manager. Having one of Australia's largest managing firms and brokers at the same venue was amazing."

Some people came to play. Our girls came to slay. 💁‍♀️⛳

Last Friday, our QLD BDM, Tracy Norris, hit the fairways with three fantastic clients, Stacey Iconomidis from Direct Insurance Brokers and Catherine Lloyd and Lilli McLean from BCsystems at the SCAQ 2026 Golf Day at St Lucia.

As the only all-female team in a field of 150 players, they proved that a little girl power goes a long way.

💥 Tracy won Ladies Longest Drive
🏆 and ironically, the team came away with the worst score of the day

They brought the fun, backed it up with skill, and left with prizes and a trophy. We'd call that a pretty good day on the course. ⛳🏆

Here's to great company and even greater conversations. The trophy and prizes were a bonus. The laughs, connections and memories were the real win. 🧡
