Our Melbourne office was a sea of purple last week as our team members showed their support for young LGBTQIA+ people as part of Wear It Purple Day.

At Liberty, visible allyship matters. We were proud to come together to help raise awareness and promote inclusion for all young people in the LGBTQIA+ community 💜💜💜

Have you heard the news? Liberty has joined the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme as a participating lender 🏠

We’ll be one of the few non-bank lenders in the scheme, giving eligible home buyers more choice as they look to step into the property market sooner.

With the support of a Government Guarantee, it could be possible to get started with a smaller deposit.

Think you need up‑to‑date tax returns before applying for a home loan?

It’s a common concern, especially for self‑employed Australians, freelancers and business owners. However, if your tax returns aren’t current, it doesn’t always mean you have to put your plans on hold.

Depending on your situation, lenders may be able to look at more recent financial information to understand your income.

We’ve broken down how it works, what documents might be considered, and what it could mean for your application.

We recently supported Gunuwarra: Deep Winter Rooftop Gathering, a celebration of First Nations culture, music, art and storytelling.

The event was presented by Spiegel Haus Melbourne and Aboriginal Melbourne as part of NAIDOC Week 2026, and raised over $10,000 for the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (V***A)!

Diversity and inclusion are incredibly important to us at Liberty, and we’re honoured to play a part in an initiative that highlights contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music, performance, food, and visual arts.

Congrats to all those involved in this wonderful event 👏

Liberty’s head office is located on the traditional lands of the Kulin Nation, with offices across the country. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation and their continuing connections to lands, waters, cultures and communities. We pay our respects to their spirits, ancestors, elders and community members past and present. In doing so, we also acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded by the traditional owners of this country.
