We’re heading to the State Business Awards! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that after Elliot Watson won the Outstanding Business Leader – 20 Employees and Under at the regional Business Hunter awards, he has now progressed to the 2026 State Business Awards as a State Finalist!

Reaching the State level is a fantastic achievement, giving us the opportunity to be recognised alongside some of the best businesses and business leaders from across NSW.

We’re looking forward to celebrating this milestone at the 2026 State Business Awards Gala at ICC Sydney on Friday, 30 October, where the State winners will be announced.

Recently, Elliot had the pleasure of presenting Glen and Margo with their 10-Year Client Hamper as a small token of appreciation for their continued trust and support.

While Glen and Margo have been clients of Elliot Watson Financial Planning for 10 years, their relationship with Elliot goes back even further. Elliot worked has worked with them as their financial adviser for 15 years before establishing his own business a decade ago.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of their financial journey for so many years and to have built such a valued, long-standing relationship.

For Wayne and Sue, preparing for retirement wasn’t just about getting their finances in order. It also meant navigating the Centrelink process, something they knew they didn’t want to tackle alone.

After five years of working with Jose and the team, they now have ongoing support as they move through retirement.

The team has been helping Wayne and Sue navigate the Centrelink maze, including handling the paperwork and administration involved, so they don’t have to work through it all themselves.

It’s one of the practical ways an ongoing financial planning relationship can make a difference. Having someone who understands your circumstances and can help guide you through the process can take away a lot of the stress.

Instead of having to work through the process on their own, Wayne and Sue have a team they can rely on to help them through this next stage.

💙 FAREWELL & THANK YOU, JENNY! 💙

Today we say a very fond farewell to our wonderful Client Service Manager, Jenny Babekuhl, as she officially begins her retirement after six years with Watson Wealth.

Since joining us in August 2020, Jenny has been such an important part of our team and has made a genuine difference to hundreds of our clients. Her knowledge, experience, patience, incredible attention to detail and, most importantly, the genuine care she has shown to our clients has been something we have all valued enormously.

Jenny has been the definition of rock solid. Through changing systems, providers, processes and everything else that has come our way over the past six years, she has always been there, quietly making sure things get done and our clients are looked after. She has been someone we could always rely on — and we’re going to miss that enormously.

But after a long career in the industry, Jenny has more than earned this next chapter. We hope retirement involves plenty of relaxation, time with family and friends, a scotch & coke in hand, and a healthy dose of Patrick Swayze movies! 🥃🎬😂

From all of us at Watson Wealth, thank you, Jenny, for everything you have given to our team, our clients and our business over the past six years. Your wisdom, warmth, beautiful smile and genuine care will be very sorely missed.
