A belated congratulations to Tim and Amy on the arrival of Wolfgang.

With a name like Wolfgang, we had to ask Tim the obvious question: where did the inspiration come from?

As it turns out, there’s a pretty cool Van Halen connection behind it.

Either way, it’s a seriously great name and a great yarn.

From all of us at All Trades Cover, congratulations again to the whole family. Wishing Tim, Amy and Wolfgang plenty of love, laughs and hopefully a bit more sleep by now.

All Trades Cover is proud to sponsor the Hard Yarns Podcast.

We’ve been on board with the boys for a few years now, and it’s been unreal to see how far the podcast has come. In that time, they’ve built something with a loyal following, plenty of laughs and a real connection with their audience.

For us, sponsorship is not just a box-ticking exercise. It’s about supporting people, communities and the conversations that bring them together.

We also want to give a big thanks to the Hard Yarns listeners who have supported All Trades Cover along the way. We hear from plenty of clients who mention they found us through the podcast, and who go out of their way to say, “Keep supporting the boys.”

We appreciate it, and we’re proud to be part of the journey.

𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

That is the nightmare no tradie wants.

You pay the premium, get the certificate and think you are sorted. Then something goes wrong and suddenly the fine print says the work you actually do is not covered.

That is where a good broker matters.

At All Trades Cover, we look past the cheapest price and into the details that can make or break a claim: your trade, your work, your risks and the exclusions that could catch you out.

Because the wrong cover is not cheap. It is just a bill waiting to become a problem.

If tools can get stolen from a working police station, where are they actually safe?

In one of the most brazen tool thefts we have heard of recently, a tradie had their tools stolen from what most people would think was a secure job site: a working police station.

Yes, that actually happened to one of our clients.

For a tradie, losing tools is not just a setback. It can stop the job, wreck the week and hit hard financially. Because your tools are not just tools. They are how you earn.

Tools Insurance can help cover eligible theft, loss or damage to your mobile tools and equipment, subject to the policy terms, conditions and exclusions. Premiums apply. An excess may be payable if you claim.

Protect the gear that keeps you working.

Proposed ATO trust changes could leave some tradies facing $10,000 restructure costs.

For trade business owners using family trusts, the proposed 30% minimum tax on discretionary trusts, often referred to as family trusts, could change the way some businesses structure income, wages and ownership.

However, the tax component is only one part of the story.

Restructuring, employing a partner, changing wages or adding family members to the business can also affect workers compensation, public liability and business insurance.

Before making changes, speak with your accountant, lawyer and insurance broker so you understand the full cost, not just the tax outcome.

WorkCover WA’s 2026/27 recommended Workers Compensation rates are now out, and for some WA businesses that could mean a very different result at renewal.

Some industries are easing. Others are under more pressure.

The bigger issue is what these changes say about claims trends, industry risk, and the importance of making sure your Workers Compensation cover is set up properly.

In our latest article, we’ve highlighted a few of the key changes and why they matter for WA business owners.

If you want to know what the new rates could mean for your business, current cover, or next renewal, get in touch with All Trades Cover on 1300 826 850 or [email protected].
