Keeping the Freezer Filled - Protein for the Mount Gambier Food Hub

The Foodbank SA & Central Australia Food Hub in Mount Gambier supports more than 2,000 people experiencing food insecurity every month. We provided $10,000 funding to help Foodbank keep their freezers stocked with frozen proteins/meat products for local community members in need who shop in their Food Hub.

We've already given back over $1.6 million to our community, and we're looking to support even more local projects and groups with our 2026/27 Community Grants Program.

Do you have a project that will make a positive impact in our community? Grants are available for projects that contribute to areas including:
• Community wellbeing
• Health and education
• Environmental initiatives
• Community resilience
• Social connection and inclusion

We are a proud supporter of Limestone All Ability's Soccer, who are a recipient of our community investment grants program. We have provided funding for the teams to attend metropolitan sporting events - all the very best to Amechai (mixed netball), Chantelle (soccer) and Shaun (soccer) who are competing in the Special Olympics National Games in Melbourne this October!

Our community grants program allows us to give money back to our community to support not-for-profit groups and projects in our region. By supporting us, you're supporting your local community, so thank you! Applications for our current grant round closes 30 June 2026.

The Mount Gambier High School Art Crawl has officially started for 2026! We are one of the local businesses exhibiting students' work - artworks are available for sale with 100% of the sale funds going directly to the artist. Drop by the branch to view some amazing local art until 11th June.

We were proud to once again sponsor last night's Rostrum SA/NT's Voice of Youth South East public speaking competition at St Martins Lutheran College. Coordinated by SA Rostrum Voice of Youth, the event was a great opportunity to experience the skills that our future leaders show in public speaking. Students from Grant High School, St Martins Lutheran College and Naracoorte High School did a fantastic job.
Big congratulations to all winners in the junior and senior heats. And well done to our staff and directors who volunteer each year to help at this event. Good luck to those students who will speak at the next final in Adelaide!
