The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has announced a hold on the cash rate of 3.60% at today's meeting.

This outcome reflects the RBA's cautious and measured approach in balancing inflation control with employment objectives. The latest data indicates:

* Inflation: Monthly CPI indicator rose to 3.0% annually in August 2025 (up from 2.8% in July), the highest since July 2024.
* Employment: Unemployment edged up to 4.3% in June 2025, signalling a slightly softer labour market.

Holding the cash rate steady for now allows the RBA to monitor how efforts to support the economy align with the need to avoid further pressure on the housing market.

Congratulations on the milestone Steve and Mandy!
It's been a pleasure working with you, thanks for all your support and helping me make the transition into broking.

10 years ago today I started Seek Financial and I couldn’t be prouder of the company it has become and the incredible people I am lucky enough to call my Seek family.

After spending every weekday leaving home to go to work in the city when my two boys, Coen and Will, were asleep and arriving back when they were in bed, I decided I needed a better work-life balance and so Seek Financial was born.

Along the way our team of brokers has grown as my father Bob, and my old work colleagues, Andrew Stewart, Matthew Beach and Andrew Foreman joined me. As we started to help more families, we needed to grow our admin team, so my wife Mandy and Joy Rollings came onboard, which has really helped to take the business to another level.

More recent additions include Emily Aglio & Zoe Stewart as loan processors, who are doing a sensational job and assisting with the continued growth of Seek.

To round it out, Andrew McIntosh has joined our team of brokers. Andrew and I worked together in my home town of Echuca, Vic, back when I was a local Westpac business banker. It’s really nice to see Seek Financial have a presence in my old home town with Andrew as a Seek Financial broker there.

And that’s the Seek Financial story! Here’s to 10 years today! I’m excited to see what the next 10 years holds for us all!
