Come and say hello at the Community Expo. 👋

We're again proud to be part of this year's Community Connect South Shoalhaven Community Expo and we'd love to see you there.

Head to the Dunn Lewis Centre on Thursday 10 September, from 9.45am to 2.00pm, where more than 100 local clubs and community groups will come together under one roof.

It's a wonderful morning to discover new ways to connect, volunteer, learn and get involved right here in the South Shoalhaven. Pop by our stall for a chat, ask us anything, and hear more about the local groups and projects we're proud to support. 💚

What a day out at Little Forest for their annual Stronger Together Day. ❤️

Little Forest is a tight-knit community with one road in and one road out, and one that felt the 2020 bushfires deeply. Out of those hard days grew something special: an annual day where neighbours come together to plan ahead, share local knowledge and make sure everyone knows what to do when fire threatens.

We were proud to fund a new defibrillator for the Little Forest community, so that fast, life-saving help is close by when it matters most. In a place where help can be a fair way down the road, having one close by can make all the difference. 🤝

It was a wonderful day of connection, preparation and community spirit, which is exactly what Stronger Together is all about.

Caz Boland our Community Engagement Manager said, “Little Forest is a community that looks after its own, and we’re just pleased to stand with them”.

“Days like this are a real reminder of how much strength there is in a community working together”, she said.

Staying safe online is something we can all get better at and how could she time this any better than for Scams Awareness Week! 🛡️

Caz recently headed along to the NSW RFS - Milton Brigade to share a session on banking safely online, helping the local brigade spot the warning signs of scams and keep their personal details protected.

It’s a topic close to home for so many of us and there’s nothing better than getting out into the community to talk it through face to face. A big thank you to the Milton RFS volunteers for having us and likewise, for everything they do to keep our community safe. 🤝

A little support can go a long way for a great local event. 🎳

We were pleased to get behind the Ulladulla Bowlo with a donation towards their winter carnival, helping keep people on the greens and the community together. 💚

Our Community Engagement Manager Caroline said, "It's local clubs that bring people together for things like the carnival and we're always glad to lend a hand where we can".

What a morning with the Marine Rescue Ulladulla crew. 💙

We were proud to sit in on the unit's recent meeting, meet Commissioner Todd Andrews and welcome John Samulski back as Unit Commander.

The highlight was watching Todd and John honour crew members with service awards for their work supporting the Deniliquin floods, volunteers who dropped everything to help a community a long way from home. A special mention to Deb Talty, recognised for an incredible 15 years of service 🏅

Caz Boland our Community Engagement Manager. "Our volunteers give so much, often behind the scenes".

"Being in the room to see them recognised, especially Deb's 15 years, was a real privilege", she said.

And yes, it wrapped up the way every good meeting should, with a very impressive morning tea.
