Today, the Reserve Bank of Australia delivered its third interest rate cut of 2025, shaving 0.25 percentage points off the cash rate, bringing it down to 3.60%—the lowest since March 2023 🥳 This takes the interest rate below 4 per cent for the first time since May 2023. 🎉

Why the cut? ✂️
With inflation cooling and the economy easing up, the RBA is giving borrowers a little breathing space. In short—your mortgage might just feel a little lighter soon.

💡Fun fact : In the early 1990s, interest rates were over 17%! Today’s number feels like a Sunday stroll compared to that uphill climb.

💰 Hot Tip : Keep your repayments the same instead of lowering them—you’ll chip away at the loan faster and save thousands in interest over time. Unless you plan to convert it to an investment property in the future... then just transfer the savings from the drop, into an offset account towards your savings or debt reduction plan.

This one comes up all the time — and the answer might surprise you.

✅ FALSE — We have lenders who are totally fine with just 1 payslip for a new permanent role.
All you need is:
• A signed employment contract
• First payslip
• Bonus if you’re in the same industry or role continuation

BUT...

✅ TRUE — Some lenders do want 3 months. Others even 6 months or more.
Which is exactly why you use a broker. 💁🏻‍♀️
