One thing I don’t think gets talked about enough…
Being a business owner can be bloody lonely.
Not because you don’t have people around you.
You might have great staff, clients, suppliers and referral partners — but sometimes you’re still the only person carrying the weight of the decisions that need to be made.
And business owners aren’t exactly great at stopping either. 😂
We hit one target, chase the next opportunity, solve the next problem… and immediately start looking at the next mountain.
I started my business about six months before COVID, so I learned pretty quickly that the rulebook can change without much warning.
One thing I’ve become much better at is occasionally stopping and asking:
“Hang on… how far have we actually come?”
Find other business owners you can talk to. 🤝
Celebrate some of the wins. 👏
And every now and then, give yourself a bit of credit.
Because building a business is bloody hard.
We spend so much time staring at the mountain in front of us…
Sometimes it’s worth turning around and looking at how far we’ve already climbed. 👊
🎥 I talk about one simple calendar trick in the video that helps me do exactly that.
