Thrive Refugee Enterprise would like to extend a heartfelt thank you 🙏 to the incredible team at W Melbourne and especially Executive Chef Millist for their very generous donation of kitchenware. 🍴

Thrive supports people from refugee backgrounds to start and grow their own businesses, and since 2017, we’ve helped launch over 900 startups along the Eastern Seaboard. Many of these are in the food space 🍽️, from restaurants and cafés to catering and home-based cooking businesses, where quality equipment can make all the difference. 🌟

This donation will go directly into the hands of these entrepreneurs, helping ease some of the financial pressures that come with building a business from the ground up. 📈

One recent recipient is Ethiopian Restaurant in Footscray, who have just opened their doors. They received an incredible assortment including stock pots, fry pans and sizzle pans, chopping boards, utensils, serving bowls, and even a few bonus items like a wine bucket and wok scrubbers. For a new business, support like this truly feels like pennies from heaven. 💸

Thank you again to Paul and the entire W Melbourne team for making a conscious decision that will have a lasting impact on newly arrived members of our community. 👫

Lest we forget.

Today, we honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served, and continue to serve.

We also take a moment to reflect on the values of resilience, community and compassion, qualities that continue to shape and strengthen our society.

At Thrive Refugee Enterprise, these values are at the heart of what we do every day.

We remember. 🌺
