The FAAA Inspire Women’s Lunch was a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many incredible women who contribute to our financial advice profession in different ways.

Listening to Jelena Dokic share her inspirational journey was a powerful reminder of the courage it takes to overcome adversity, find your strength and keep moving forward, even when the journey is far from easy.

What stood out just as much was being surrounded by so many women who support, strengthen and champion our industry. Not everyone needs to be a financial adviser to make a meaningful difference. From those working behind the scenes to business leaders, professional partners and industry advocates, women play an important role in shaping the future of financial advice.

Because a stronger industry isn’t built by advisers alone. It’s built by a community of people who believe in its purpose and support the people behind it.

The superannuation gender gap is real, and the numbers tell an important story.

📊 By the numbers:

• $176,000 vs $233,000: The median superannuation balance for women and men approaching retirement, respectively, in 2022–23.

• 24.5% gap: Women approaching retirement had approximately $57,000 less in median super than men.

• 30% of retired women relied on their partner’s income to meet living costs in 2024–25, compared with just 9% of retired men.

World Financial Planning Day | 7 October 2026 🌏

What a wonderful evening celebrating our profession and the difference good financial planning can make in people’s lives.

I was honoured to be part of the World Financial Planning Day panel at Swinburne University, discussing Navigating Client Relationships alongside some incredibly respected names in our industry.

For me, financial planning has always been about more than numbers.

It is about listening. Understanding what matters to each client. Asking the right questions. And helping people make informed financial decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

A big thank you to FAAA Students and the Beta Alpha Psi chapters from Deakin University, Monash University, Swinburne University and the University of Melbourne for bringing together the next generation of financial planners and creating such a great platform for conversation and connection.

It was wonderful to share experiences, learn from fellow professionals and hopefully inspire some of the students who will shape the future of our profession.

And to my clients, colleagues and everyone who continues to place their trust in me, moments like this are a reminder of why I love what I do.

We’ve become aware that an account using our profile photo and posing as LifeScope Wealth Advisory is contacting people on Instagram and trying to move the conversation to WhatsApp to collect phone numbers.

This is not us. We have not created a second account, and we will never:
🚫 DM you out of the blue asking for your phone number
🚫 Ask you to move to WhatsApp to “continue the conversation”
🚫 Ask for personal, financial or account details over DM or chat
🚫 Offer you an “investment opportunity” via social media messages

If you’ve received a message like this — even if it looked like it came from us — please:
✅ Do not reply with your number or any personal details
✅ Do not click any links sent to you
✅ Block and report the account to Instagram
✅ Screenshot the message if you can, and send it to us so we can report it too
