LITHIUM IS BACK? ⚡🔋
Liontown Resources (ASX: LTR) has just hit a major milestone — reporting its maiden profit for FY26.
The numbers are getting investors’ attention:
💰 A$93M maiden NPAT
📈 A$639M record revenue
💵 A$182M operating cash flow
⛏️ 381,997 tonnes of lithium concentrate shipped
🔋 Kathleen Valley is now operating as a 100% underground mine
But there’s an important detail 👇
Liontown’s underlying NPAT was A$14M, meaning the headline A$93M statutory profit includes one-off items.
Still, the shift is significant.
After a difficult period for lithium prices, Liontown says stronger prices in the second half helped improve earnings while Kathleen Valley continued ramping up.
The company is also targeting a 2.8 Mtpa underground run-rate by the end of FY27, while a decision on the Kathleen Valley expansion is expected next month. (Liontown Ltd)
So the bigger question for investors is:
Is this just a Liontown turnaround — or an early sign that the lithium cycle is starting to recover? 👀
