ABOUT MASTERFUL SUCCESS

You've been to the personal development and business seminars. You’ve taken the action and done the work but you're still not experiencing the success you desire or you believe you deserve

Perhaps you’ve started a business and struggled to be successful and get to break-even
Perhaps you have tried and failed
You’re especially frustrated because, when you’re working for so

mebody else, you've had a number of notable successes. You know you're good

So why aren’t you getting those results? The answer at first sight seems too corny to be true. It’s persistence
After all, iIn think and grow rich, Napoleon Hill said that the number one difference between Edison and Ford on the one hand and most other people on the other was persistence. Not vision. Not money. Not charisma. Not luck. Not magic. Persistence

The trouble is, most writers and speakers don’t really understand what persistence is. They assume that it is a product of willpower. But willpower is actually not very powerful, especially when it’s comes into conflict with powerful subconscious forces. Just ask any dieter confronted by their favourite dessert. You do have other forces that can overpower these subconscious forces but conscious willpower ain’t one of them. If you want to become successful in your life, you need to align with these forces and use their energy to create what you want. Masterful success is a process that will help you find that alignment, create goals that inspire you and so enjoy a level of persistence that will lead you on to success. ABOUT VINCENT MELLING

Vincent has tried many businesses with many failures - some due to incredibly bizarre events - before finding success. At first, he saw himself as a serial failure and underachiever. However when he saw many others going through the same challenges and struggles he knew he had to find the keys that would unlock both his potential and that he could share with others to unlock theirs

As part of his commitment to create a business he loves, and love for business in general, he took a wide range of courses and workshops over a 3 year period which complemented his MBA and wide range of reading. Masterful Success represents Vincent' distillation of these learnings and experiences in a way designed to get you and your business on the track to success

Questions...

[Not all businesses are about solving problems. Many are about satisfying desires. The same questions apply though]

"Key question: Do I have a problem worth solving?
The first stage [of a startup business] is about determining whether you have a problem worth solving before investing months or years of effort into building a solution. While ideas are cheap, acting on them is quite expensive.

A problem worth solving boils down to three questions:
Is it something customers want? (must-have)
Will they pay for it? If not, who will? (viable)
Can it be solved? (feasible)

Questions ...

"Do you ever find yourself judging a business and its ability to succeed? “This business is not going to make money” is a projection and a judgement. Instead, why not ask:
* What has to change here?
* What could we change?
* Can we change it?
* How can we change it?

Do you see how judgements shut down the energy–and questions open it up? When you ask a question, you invite more awareness to show up, and with that, more possibilities."

Persistence..... is more than willpower
In fact, willpower on its own is no match for all the distractions and resistances that can push you off track

Here's a recent blog I wrote about why getting the right goals for you is so importance

Most personal development work starts by setting goals. It’s a very good place to start – you won’t get anywhere if you don’t have an objective to head for and a direction to go

Focus...

When Bill Gates first met Warren Buffett, their host at dinner, Gates’ mother, asked everyone around the table to identify what they believed was the single most important factor in their success through life. Gates and Buffett gave the same one-word answer: “Focus.” (See more in The Snowball by Alice Schroeder).

My fave quote from Napoleon Hill's book "Think and grow rich"

“I had the happy privilege of analyzing both Mr. Edison and Mr. Ford, year by year, over a long period of years, and therefore, the opportunity to study them at close range, so I speak from actual knowledge when I say that I found no quality save persistence, in either of them, that even remotely suggested the major source of their stupendous achievements.”

Masterful Success is based on three pillars
* persistence
* focus and
* getting lean

I really felt vindicated yesterday - I was at an event for entrepreneur where the first guest speaker said that the key to his success was .....persistence.

He had pitched his business over 100 times and finally found funding around pitch number 105
