There’s something interesting about working in finance for many years.
People assume the job is about numbers.
Rates.
Calculations.
Policies.
But the truth is, the most important skill in this industry isn’t mathematics.
It’s understanding people.
Understanding the pressure someone feels when they’re buying their first home.
Understanding the excitement of a business owner planning expansion.
Understanding the quiet worries that many people carry when it comes to money.
Numbers matter.
But empathy matters more.
Because when someone trusts you with their financial journey, they’re trusting you with a piece of their life story.
And that’s something I never take lightly.
