More than 200 people joined Brainwave Australia Family Day at Featherdale Wildlife Park, and our Sydney team loved being part of the action. 😊

Will Blake welcomed families at the entrance, helped with check-in and pointed them towards the Brainwave Hub at the Drovers Hut. Meanwhile, Jemima MacPherson helped children turn paper plates into koalas, pandas and cockatoos at the crafts table.

It was Jemima’s second time volunteering with Brainwave, and her favourite part was seeing the children light up as they brought their creations to life.

Brainwave supports more than 1,400 families across Australia, and days like this give them a chance to relax, connect and simply enjoy time together. Thank you for welcoming our team along to help. 😊

An extra $10,000 from us. Twice the giving power for you.

Our support for Brainwave Australia continues. Today, we’re taking it a step further!

On top of our existing partnership, we’re committing an additional $10,000 to match donations to Ride for the Kids, supporting children with brain injuries and complex neurological conditions, and their families.

Until 9am tomorrow, we will match every donation dollar for dollar, up to $250. Give $50 and we add $50. That means $100 to support this amazing cause until our $10,000 matching pool is exhausted.

Your gift can do twice as much today! Donate now while matching funds are still available:

For families of children living with brain conditions, a simple day out together can be hard to come by. That's why our Melbourne team jumped at the chance to volunteer at Brainwave Australia Family Day at Myuna Farm. 🧡

Adam Marcham fired up the BBQ and kept the sausage sizzle going for hungry families. Leah Malabanthi, Kara Salim, Serena Morrison and Melisha Watson welcomed families at check-in before helping children make sensory ribbon wands and crafts in the Pioneer Shed.

The children also added their paintings, drawings and craft creations to a giant Brainwave banner, turning it into a colourful shared artwork by the end of the day.

Between tractor rides and paddock walks, parents connected with other parents and siblings made new friends.

Thank you, Brainwave, for creating space for families to enjoy time together and connect - and for inviting us to be part of it. 😊

Sometimes looking after our wellbeing starts with simply making room for it.

In the lead-up to R U OK? Day on 10 September, we created opportunities each day for our people to pause, connect and prioritise their wellbeing.

R U OK? Day is an important reminder to check in with the people around us - but meaningful connection shouldn’t be limited to one day. By building moments like these into an ordinary week, we give people the time and gentle nudge to pause and connect. Looking out for one another is something we want to carry with us throughout the year.

A special shout out to our PIP crew, who took out the Wellbeing Week scavenger hunt and earned themselves a well-deserved round of coffee vouchers.💙

We're proud to share that one of our clients nominated DPM for the PPS Mutual 2027 Risk Practice of the Year Award. ✨

The award recognises Australian advice practices demonstrating excellence in life insurance advice - from the quality of their client outcomes and service to the way they develop their people and contribute to the profession.

For the first time this year, PPS Mutual opened nominations to clients, making this recognition particularly meaningful to our team.

Insurance advice isn't always something people think about until they need it most. So when a client takes the time to put our name forward, it's a reminder of the trust people place in us to help protect what they've worked hard to build.

We're incredibly grateful for the nomination and for the trust our clients place in our team every day.

Now, we wait to see what comes next. Watch this space. 😊

Earlier this month, we swapped the office for the open road. 🛣

A group of our clients joined us for a scenic drive through the Mornington Peninsula, with putting a fleet of their finest in our hands for the day and getting us started in style from their showroom. We wound through some of Victoria's best w**e country, stopped for a long lunch at with sweeping views across the vineyard, then made the drive back.

Days like these are our favourite way to thank the clients we work with. We get to step away from the numbers, share a meal, and enjoy good company on the road.

We're already looking forward to the next one. 🚗

Our Winter Jacket Drive has wrapped up, and it was wonderful to see people from across DPM get behind it. 💙

Working with Off Your Back, we collected jackets and warm clothing to support people doing it tough. A warm coat may seem like a simple item, but for someone facing the cold weather without adequate clothing, it can make a meaningful difference.

A big thank you to our People and Development team for coordinating the drive from start to finish and to everyone who donated a jacket or jumper. By taking the time to look through your wardrobes and contribute something you could spare, you’ve helped provide warmth and comfort to someone who needs it.

Off Your Back will now sort and distribute every item through its community partners.

On Saturday evening our team gathered at the National Gallery of Victoria for Brainwave Australia's Great Gatsby Gala, a night marking 30 years of their work. 🌟

For us it carried something extra, because it also marked a year since DPM partnered with Brainwave. Over those twelve months our team has rolled up its sleeves alongside them, volunteering across a range of Brainwave activities and getting to know the people and families at the heart of it all.

Brainwave walks alongside families raising children with brain injuries, illnesses and neurological conditions. When a diagnosis turns a family's world upside down, they are there for the therapy, the equipment, the hospital stays, and the long road that follows. Thirty years of showing up for families on the hardest days of their lives is something worth celebrating.

Under the Great Hall's stained-glass ceiling, supporters came together over dinner and the auctions, all of it raising funds to keep that support going. Our CEO Michael Allsopp joined the bidding and won a teddy, a small moment that summed up the spirit of the night.

Thank you for a year that's meant a great deal to us, Brainwave. Here's to standing beside you for many more. ❤️

Parental leave changes your income, your super and your borrowing power. It also changes your insurance needs, and that's the part most people never revisit.

A medical career rarely runs in a straight line. Income climbs through training, dips during leave, shifts again in private practice or part-time work. Cover set up in your intern year rarely keeps pace, which leaves you either paying for protection you've outgrown or missing protection you now need. 🛡️

Sonal Brar breaks down the main types of personal insurance and, more usefully, how the right structure should change at each stage of a woman's career in medicine. Read the article - link in bio.

If your career or personal circumstances have changed, speak with the DPM team about reviewing your broader financial position and whether your current arrangements still suit your needs. 😊
