Yesterday our team had a fantastic night at the CBCC Business & Entrepreneurship Expo. It was a great opportunity to connect with local business owners and entrepreneurs, hear from inspiring speakers and share how First Option Bank supports businesses in our community.

What a day at the CBCC Business & Entrepreneurship Expo!

Yesterday, we packed up the banners, brought our best energy and headed out to connect with the local business community. The venue was buzzing from the moment the doors opened, and it was fantastic to be surrounded by so many passionate business owners, founders and entrepreneurs all in one room.

Our booth was busy all day with great conversations about business banking, starting out, growing a business and everything in between. We loved hearing your stories, your goals and what you’re building in our community. And yes, there may have been a little dancing behind the booth too. We can’t help it, we were having too much fun!

A highlight of the day was hearing from the speakers, who shared real insights and inspiration for anyone running or starting a business. We came away with plenty of ideas and a lot of motivation.

To finish the day, we held our hamper draw. Congratulations to Stephanie, our lucky winner. We hope you enjoy every treat inside!

Tuesday night, Rhonda and Louisa from our team attended the CBCC Autism & Disability Forum 2026 at Canterbury Leagues Club.

It was a meaningful evening that brought together families, carers, people with lived experience, educators, support providers and local businesses for an open conversation about autism, disability, inclusion and support.

Thank you to moderator Nicole Smith (SSI) and panellists Vanessa Gauci (Autism Community Network), Christine Nassif (The Inclusion Centre), Darine Medawar (Aus Able Disability Services) and Morgan A. Fitzpatrick (Koorana Child & Family Services) for sharing their insights and experience so generously.

What a way to wrap up the season! Louisa attended along with our own director Annette Mathews who is also the PaddleNSW chair were at Gunnamatta Bay for the Paddles NSW Harbour Series #5 Finale.
