The fringe benefits tax (FBT) exemption for electric vehicles is scheduled for review June 2027. With the possibility of it ending earlier than scheduled, many who are considering making the switch, could be missing out on thousands of dollars in tax savings.

Don't worry - as long as you have a novated lease agreement in place before the government incentive for EVs ends, you will continue to receive the FBT exemption until the end of your lease arrangement. Some conditions apply.
