When the primary school calls for sponsors, how could we say no? 💜

We were proud to sponsor the school’s annual parent night out, with this year’s theme: “Oops, I wore the wrong thing!”

What a night it was!

Plenty of questionable outfit choices, lots of laughs, a little healthy trivia competition and, most importantly, a fantastic sense of community spirit.

We love being able to support our local community, especially events that bring people together and help support our school and their fundraising efforts.

Well done to all the organisers- we know the work that goes on behind the scenes... We were happy to play a small part in it.

Overwhelmed?
Confused?
Frustrated?

Or simply... ‘𝗜 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.’

What is the part you stumble on?

- Do you open another spreadsheet and watch the numbers start to blur into one?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱? ☀️

At our Monday morning meeting this week, we made a decision.

We weren’t going to talk about the freezing, wet Melbourne weather. Instead, we decided to share one small thing that had brightened our weekend.

The answers were wonderfully ordinary!

🏀 A one-point basketball win, decided in the final 2 minutes.
🐶 A puppy who finally decided to listen at puppy school.
🍽️ Dinner with that friend after rescheduling about 5 times.
🦒 Taking the grandkids to the zoo.
🥗 Getting the week’s meal prep done, knowing those midweek dinners will be that little bit easier.

Nothing groundbreaking. Nothing to do with work. Just life.

When you work together, especially as a remote team, these little conversations matter.

Knowing what’s happening in each other’s lives. Celebrating the wins, however small, having a laugh and connecting as people before getting on with the work.

Sometimes five minutes spent talking about absolutely nothing to do with work can be a pretty valuable five minutes.
