During the depths of the pandemic in 2021 and Victoria's habitual lockdown addiction, I, like many, faced the despairing question... what's the post-covid world going to look like?
Instead of revelling at home every night to Netflix & Disney, eventually being not sure what is left or right, up or down. I decided to beat my chest and hummed the simple words that sometimes daily life seems to drown out... "you can do it mate".
So there I was, in my early 30s, a father, a partner, practically unemployed, lost and uncertain of the future. In this moment of self-awareness, I really wanted change for the better. So I looked into my old bag of dreams and found a spark. This spark was finance and the realisation of the significance it has in our lives.
And then, school was in session. While balancing sporadic jobs here and there, I eventually completed my Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Brokering Management and got my brokers license. So I guess this begs the question now, what's next in this new post-covid world?
I like to think I'm somewhat a superhero like Batman - maybe in my son's eyes. By day, I host wicked winery tours and by night, I'm enabling friends & families to fulfil their dreams of home ownership. So if you're still reading, I like to say thanks! Thanks for your time and I hope you wish me well like I do you.
