No surprise.. RBA increases the cash rate by 0.50% to 1.35%, its most aggressive 3 months since 1994!
How does this impact you? If lenders pass on the full increase (as expected), your variable home loan rate is now 1.25% higher than it was only 3 months ago.
In real dollar terms, based on an average new loan of $650,000, a 1.25% increase results in monthly repayments jumping by $442 p.m., or $5,304 p.a.*
