We know it’s not the cheeriest topic, but hey – life admin is life admin.

Planning ahead helps ensure your super is paid out the way you want. If you haven't checked your beneficiaries recently or had important life changes, it’s a good idea to review them. A little admin now can avoid confusion later. Check your beneficiaries, keep them up to date, and you’ve done your part.

Want to learn more about beneficiaries (including how to nominate if you’re a UniSuper member)? Head over to our website.

From 1 July 2026, we’re halving the asset-based administration fee for Flexi Pension members.

This means members could save up to $625 each year.³

It’s all part of our commitment to helping our members enjoy an exceptional retirement.

Issued by UniSuper Limited ABN 54 006 027 121 the trustee of the fund UniSuper ABN 91 385 943 850. Consider the PDS and TMD on UniSuper’s website and your circumstances before making decisions, because we haven’t. ¹The reduction applies to the asset-based administration fee for UniSuper’s Flexi Pension (Retirement Phase and Beneficiary Income Stream) and Term Allocated Pension products. ² Based on starting a Retirement Phase Flexi Pension account with $650,000 at age 67. Savings are presented in today’s dollars discounted by 2.5% with a net average rate of return of 7.31% p.a and $96 annual admin fee. Retirement income is maintained until age 95. Projection includes Age Pension (March 2026 rates) based on an individual being a homeowner. Actual returns year on year may vary materially and can be negative. If investment returns/inflation are higher/lower, final balances will differ. This example is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to provide a guarantee on outcome. It is a broad illustration of the steps a member could take, but the actions appropriate for an individual will vary depending on their personal circumstances. Based on current regulatory requirements and laws, including tax rates, which may be subject to change. ³The value of the fee reduction will vary based on account balance, ranging from $0 up to a maximum of $625 p.a. per account. Saving $625 per account per financial year is based on an account balance of $781,250.

The information is of a general nature and doesn’t consider your personal circumstances. Consider UniSuper’s PDS and TMD on its website and your circumstances before making decisions, because we haven’t.

Before combining your super, consider the possible effects this might have on things like the fees you pay, the conditions of your insurance (including whether you can transition your insurance in your other fund to UniSuper) and the tax on your super. There could be other effects too, so it’s best to seek financial advice if you’re unsure.
