I think the following quote is particularly relevant today with so much loss and heartache around the world.

Heart says: Love your tribe.
Mind says: Protect our tribe.
Soul says: Peace only comes once you include all people in your tribe.

National Volunteers Week
16-23 May

Let's take a moment to show our gratitude to the unsung heroes. The wonderful, amazing, selfless volunteers that are out there doing their part to make this world a better place for others.

It can be a physical, mental and emotional challenge at times. But, we are so grateful that you continue to get up and give of yourselves whenever you're asked.

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!

Mother’s Day

As we head into the Mother’s Day weekend, let’s take a moment to reflect.

Being a mum or having a mum means something different to all of us. It could be the woman that gave birth to you, the woman that raised you, the woman in your office that looks after you. It could be the woman sitting next to you that proudly shows off photos of her fur-babies, or the woman that you know that so desperately wants kids but hasn’t been successful yet. All these women are amazing, and each have had their own interesting journeys. Let’s pause to appreciate how they have impacted our lives. Both the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, it’s all part of shaping who we are. I am so grateful for all the past, present and future mother’s that have been a part of my life.

Family Friday

I don’t know if Family Friday is a thing like Throwback Thursday or not. If it isn’t, it definitely should be. I’m combining the two with this wonderful photo of myself, my brother and my sister. How great was the hair back then!!!!

Like many of you, family is one of the most important things to me. Often, we don’t stop to think about what family means to us, or how it changes over the years. I’m hopefully no longer an annoying little brat, like I was in this picture.

The roles we play in our families can change over the years. Those that we used to lean on when we were younger are now the one’s leaning on us. At what age or stage does that shift? It’s different for all of us. The one thing that is common is that we usually aren’t prepared for it. Whether that be financially, because we may need to look after a loved one, or emotionally. When did I become the grownup in the room?
I’d love to have a conversation with you about your many roles within your family.

If you have photos with hair like this, I'd love to see them in the comments.

When I look at this picture of my adorable great niece (yes, I know that makes me sound older than I am) there are so many things that come to mind. The main two being: Look at the sheer joy on her little face, and I am so glad I don’t live there to have to shovel that snow.

I look at this and I wonder, what am I doing in my life that brings me that much joy. Where am I investing my time? Am I spending it on things that make me happy and are meaningful, or I am spending it on things that I think ‘have to be done’ but really create no lasting value in my life?

It’s a good question to ask ourselves. If we reflect on where we are investing our time and we find the scales are tipped more towards the ‘have to be done’, is there a strategy or plan we can put in place to shift the scales back the other way? I’d love to talk this through with you, just send me a DM if you’d like to as well.

Friendsgiving – A day of being grateful and celebrating the friendships in your life

I want to say thank you to the rare few individuals in my life who have listened without judgement, spoken without prejudice, helped me without entitlement, understood without pretension and loved me without conditions.

I recently celebrated the first Annual Friendsgiving with a group of amazing women that I am so grateful to have in my life. It was a treasured day to get together and share in each other’s gratitude, love and support for each other. Now more than ever, we need to focus on the positives in our lives and support each other.
For those that couldn’t make it on the day, you were missed and don’t worry, there will be another opportunity. xx

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving shouldn't just be one day of the year. It is important to take the time to reflect on the moments, the friends, the family and the experiences that are important to us.

I am so thankful to have amazing people in my life that I love dearly, to have my health, to have opportunities available to me and so much more.

What are you thankful for?

It’s that time of year again –

Many students are taking their exams and finishing up for the year or maybe for good; many businesses are shifting into high gear to finalise work before shutting down over the holiday period; and other businesses, particularly those in retail and hospitality are heading into their busiest time of the year.

No matter which category you fall into, it’s important to pause for a moment and look back at what you have accomplished, the friends you’ve made, the lessons learned, and the memories created.

These are the things that we truly value in life. If you want to sit down and make a plan on how you can spend more time on the things you value in life, reach out to me for a discovery session.
