Good morning,
Where do we begin................

It was march 2018 and we were sitting in our big four bedroom californian bungalow which we moved into 32 years ago.

We realised it needed a lot of work whilst cleaning, heating and cooling this home with our sons moved out to their own homes and our daughter living with us.

So a plan was hatched - let's downsize!
We loved the area we lived in but couldn't find anything we liked.

So Steven had a great idea and stated let's build two double storey townhouses on our block!
The hunt began for a builder was on and also I dragged Steve to every display home there was - we were excited!

After choosing Mink Homes the process began of designing our beautiful new home and a rental which was a bonus.

We applied for finance through Affiliate Finance which was approved. Things were going along smoothly apart from the Moonee Valley Council taking 16 months to approve our plans.

Then Covid hit and things were uncertain, then my role was made redundant.

The project was put on hold until I could find future employment which at the time was no easy feat. This was a very difficult time emotionally and mentally as we thought our dreams were crushed. They say when you are faced with a challenge you rise to the ocassion.

I have been lucky enough to secure a new role as an EA to a CEO.

We are now back on track but we had to apply for finance again.

With COVID Steven had to take some long service leave at half pay which caused concern for the Bank. Mary from Affiliate Finance was on the case and boy she was amazing.

After receiving approval things began to move quickly.

We engaged with Kilmore Home Removals to take away our home which we received payment for which was nice.

With our home gone we needed to source a rental and we were lucky enough to secure a 3 bedroom unit right across the road - what luck.

January 21 the build began and we watched our beautiful home transform over the next 14 months.
We moved in March 2022 and we could not be happier - our dreams have come true.

I know this is a long email to read but we could not have done this without your guidance, patience, support and the endless phone calls of worry. Making sure the repayments were made on time. You have all played a huge part in our project and we could not thank you enough.

Gratitude in the form of chocolate is like finance in the form of an approval. I have a weakness for both.

Congratulations to our client on his settlement!
The bank gave a bit of chase, but we’re straight shooters so we knew we had the deal in the bag. And of course, in the end someone had to take the bullet for the team and cop the Haigh’s 😁.

It was the night before Christmas...
Melbourne town far from chaos
Nothing was stirring
Not a gin, not a mouse.
Except two lovely clients
Who had just bought a house.
Alas....
A house she was not!!
But rather a Grand Dame
Of Art Deco delight
In every classical frame.
For she was “Majorca”!!
And for that I declared
I must acsend from the pool,
Stop the festivities,
There is no time to be spared!
We thrashed out the numbers -
Workshopped the scenario -
Reviewed all the options -
This could get precarious!!
We buckled up tight
Held onto the reigns
For this was to be a journey
Seasoned brokers could not feign!
After what seemed
Like a trip of epic proportions
We reached our destination
With a few minor contortions.
And so now Grand Dame “Majorca”
Has welcomed Lord Jase and Lady Deb
I could not be more delighted
For this beautiful couple
My wonderful clients.
And now friends.
