Its one of our most commonly asked questions, what do you think interest rates will do? Well, according to the latest RBA cash rate future pricing, those with a home loan could be set for a reduction of up to 20% to their current interest repayments, providing welcome relief.

Here is the eonomist's viewpoint

When it comes to the big four banks, some have quite a different viewpoint on where rates are going in the short term and where the cash rate will ultimately bottom out.

Their expectations for the next rate cut and for the cash rate out to the end of the year are as follows.

ANZ: Cuts in May, June and August, taking the cash rate to 3.35 per cent by year end.

Commonwealth Bank: Next cut in May, two further cuts taking the cash rate to 3.35 per cent by year end.

NAB: Next cut in May, two further cuts taking the cash rate to 3.35 per cent by year end.

Westpac: Next cut in May, two further cuts taking the cash rate to 3.35 per cent by year end.

BREAKING | RBA cuts the cash rate by 0.25%

The new millions of home owners have been waiting for has finally arrived, with the Reserve Bank today reducing the cash rate by 0.25% to 4.1%.

Mortgage holders have been given much-needed breathing room, with the Reserve Bank announcing inflation has fallen enough for Australia to begin its rate-cutting cycle.

RBA increases cash rate:
In what was widely expected, the Reserve Bank has increased the official cash rate, which now sits at 0.35%.

At its meeting today, the Board decided to increase the cash rate target by 25 basis points to 35 basis points.

My Next Mechanic is looking to open in Redcliffe providing vehicle servicing, repairs, modifications, tyres and safety certificates to the general public. This is a new business within an established company and we are seeking a qualified light vehicle mechanic to help us grow and succeed. You will also potentially have an apprentice working alongside you who you will be required to manage, mentor and coach on a daily basis.

• Must be a qualified light vehicle mechanic with at least 4 years work experience and having completed your Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Must currently be (or able to become) an Approved Examiner to complete Safety Certificate inspections at our AIS
• Personal attributes such as honesty, reliability, professionalism, teamwork, a good work ethic and a positive attitude are crucial
• Possess a current QLD driver’s licence
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Basic level of computer skills (Email, basic typing and web search etc)

Any prior experience with;
o Managing staff
o Using workshop software to order parts and quote on jobs
o Cross selling additional products and services
o Dealing directly with customers
o Auto electrics and air conditioning

The availability for flexible work hours and employment is available and will be negotiated with the successful applicant. This may include Full time, Part time, Casual or Sub-contract arrangement
