Wrap of the last week and a bit of January.... today being “Australia day” to me is a day of gratitude, forgiveness, opportunity, love, kindness, glory and absolute awe of the land in which we all (Aussies) live in and now share. We all share this wonderful beautiful country which we all call home. I am not getting political today, politics can create anger and blame. Not my deal. Sorry. Sorry for all reasons but not for my love and gratitude.

Part one of the many birthday celebrations we are holding for our Gracie... due to covid restrictions we are having a few friends at a time to pop over and share the fun.. what a year we have had and through it all this little princess has been the best silver lining. My last and my first....
Having a baby in my 40s, many years after my first has been a journey. A bitter sweet journey. I am often asked is it easier? No, its different, because I am different. I cherish these moments more now because I know how quickly they go. I also have that same regret over my boys... how perhaps I was so caught up with work, study, and 3 little boys one after the other, I am sad that I didn’t appreciate it enough ... and the next thing they are young men. They do grow up fast... and I can’t stop this one from that but I am far more relaxed this time around, I let her sleep in my arms, I am not as hung up on the routine of things as to just be present and in the moment when I can.. I still work, heck we have all these kids to support, but I am grateful that this little one was born at the time when the world was forced to stop... it gave me the chance (although at the time resistant) to enjoy the moment.
