Community Bank Maldon & District would like to thank everyone for their kind donations of coats, jackets and blankets to our Good Coat Drive 2026.

We have had a wonderful response this year with well over 200 hundred items of warmth coming through the doors. The coats, jackets and blankets have been sorted and will be available shortly for those needing a little bit of extra warmth this winter from , and Community Bank Dunolly, RTC Dunolly

A big thank you to Heather Gill for all her help in sorting the coats and to and for their support in helping run this drive.

Something new (and a little earthy!) is taking shape in Maldon 🌱

Local gardener Megan Roberts is working with YIMBY & The Hub Foundation to bring people together to rethink how we handle food scraps, build healthier soils and improve composting at home - with ideas already growing for workshops and even a future community composting hub.

Community Bank Maldon & District is proud to support these early stages of what could become a truly community-led initiative.

Right now, the first step is simple: have your say. A short survey on how households currently manage food and garden organics, and what people would like to see in the future, is open now, but closes soon (June 22). A big thanks to those who have already completed the survey - but if you haven't, you better get in quick. Maldon Winter Festival kicks off this Saturday with their Bonfire Night. ❄️⛄

Break out the winter woollies and head down to Maldon Machinery Museum, Phoenix Street between 6pm - 9pm. There will be food and drinks available.

Helping our community gives us so much pleasure and we would like to wish Sharron and her team the best of luck with their new Dunolly Community Thrift Shop. We are so happy we could help.
