You don't need it all figured out to get started.

Maybe you're rebuilding your finances after a separation. Maybe you're just starting out and want to get ahead of things early. Either way, a Financial Wellness Review gives you somewhere to start - no judgement, no jargon.

In one session, you'll walk away with:

- A personalised household budget and cashflow strategy
- Legal and tax advice, explained simply
- Priorities mapped to your actual situation
- Warm introductions to the right professionals, if you need them
- Regular check-ins along the way, so you're never left guessing

You don't have to figure this out on your own.

Small moves now, compounding results later.

It's easy to assume financial planning is something you'll "get to" once you're earning more, once you've bought a place, once things feel more settled. But the habits that matter most are usually the ones you build early - not the ones you scramble to fix later.

A Financial Wellness Review is one hour that helps you:

- See exactly where your money is going, with a personalised budget
- Work out whether renting, saving or buying makes sense for you right now
- Understand what insurance and protections actually apply to your situation
- Get introduced to a mortgage broker or accountant, only if and when it's useful

You don't need a six-figure income or a five-year plan to benefit from this. You just need to start.

Separation changes a lot of things, and your finances are often one of the hardest parts to make sense of.

If you're newly divorced or separated, your financial picture probably looks different to how it did six months ago - and if you weren't the one managing the money day-to-day, that can bring a whole extra layer of uncertainty.

A Financial Wellness Review is a quiet, judgement-free hour where we help you find your footing:

- A personalised household budget based on where you stand today
- A cashflow strategy so your money is working for you
- Legal and tax processes explained in plain English
- Priorities set around your specific circumstances
- Introductions to family lawyers, mortgage brokers, accountants, conveyancers and life coaches, if and when you need them
- Ongoing check-ins, so you're not navigating this alone

You don't need to have it all worked out before you reach out. That's what this conversation is for.

Most retirement planning focuses on how much you've saved - but when those savings experience poor returns can matter just as much. This is called sequencing risk: the danger that a market downturn in the first few years of retirement, right when your balance is largest and you've just started drawing an income, can do far more damage than the same downturn later on.

Here's why: two people can earn the exact same average return over 20 years and end up in very different financial positions, purely because of the order those returns arrived in. If markets fall early and you're withdrawing income at the same time, you're forced to sell more of your investment to fund the same amount - locking in losses at the worst possible moment, even if markets go on to recover.

The good news is this risk can be managed, not just endured - through cash buffers, a considered drawdown strategy, and a portfolio structured with this risk in mind from the outset. If you're approaching retirement or already drawing an income from your super, it's worth understanding how your current strategy accounts for it.

Quick thought experiment: what are you actually worth?

Take your salary, and multiply it by every year you've still got left to work. Most of us never do this maths - we think about income one pay cycle at a time - but added up over a whole career, it turns into one of the biggest financial assets you'll ever have. Often bigger than your home. Often bigger than your super balance.

That number isn't sitting in a bank account, and it's not on any statement you'll ever receive. But it's real - it's what your family is quietly counting on, whether you've thought about it that way or not.

Insurance isn't really about the premium or the paperwork. It's about protecting that number - making sure that if illness or injury ever stopped you from working, your plans, and your family's plans, don't have to stop too.

If you've never thought about your own income this way, it's worth a moment's reflection. And if you'd like a second opinion on whether your current cover actually matches it, that's exactly the kind of conversation we're here for - no pressure, just clarity.

Did you know your super could own your business premises?

If you're a business owner leasing the space you operate from, there's another option worth knowing about: your superannuation can purchase that commercial property.

Instead of paying rent to an external landlord, you pay market-rate rent to your own super fund - money that stays in your retirement savings rather than someone else's pocket. You also get more certainty over your premises, without the risk of a lease not being renewed or a landlord deciding to sell out from under you. And commercial property held inside super can come with more favourable tax treatment on both rental income and any future capital gain.

It's not the right fit for every business. The rules around structure, contributions and lending inside super are genuinely technical. This is exactly the kind of decision where getting it wrong can be costly, but getting it right can set your business up for the long term.

If it's something you've been curious about, we're always happy to have a no-pressure conversation about whether it makes sense for your situation.

Superannuation has seen more change in the past year than most people realise. The Superannuation Guarantee rate reached 12% from July 2025 - the final step in a decade-long increase - meaning more of every pay cheque is now going into super. From 1 July 2026, "Payday Super" also came into effect, requiring employers to pay super alongside wages each pay cycle, rather than quarterly. On top of this, recent legislation has reshaped how self-managed super funds can be used for property investment.

These changes are a timely reminder that a "set and forget" approach to super can leave a strategy quietly out of step with the rules, or with your own goals. If it's been a while since you've taken stock, this is a fair moment to do so.

Long-term investing is a lot like long-term exercise 💪

✅ Both require consistency.
✅ Both test your patience.
✅ Both rarely show results overnight.
✅ But both can change your life if you stick with them.

💡 Invest $100/month and let time and compound interest work their magic — just like how 30 minutes of daily movement might not look like much at first, but over time builds strength, endurance, and confidence.

The best part?
📆 Ten years from now, you won’t wish you started sooner — you’ll be grateful you stayed the course.

So whether it’s your money or your health — remember, it’s not about being perfect, it’s about staying in the game. 👊

💑 Boost Your Partner’s Super — and Get a Tax Offset! 💸

Did you know you can contribute to your spouse’s super and potentially score a tax offset of up to $540?

If your spouse earns $37,000 or less, and you contribute $3,000 to their super, you may be eligible for a tax offset of up to 18% on that amount.

👉 It’s a win-win:
• You help grow your partner’s retirement savings
• You reduce your own tax bill
• It’s a smart move for couples with uneven incomes

Even if they earn up to $40,000, you may still be eligible for a partial offset.

💡 Must-do before June 30 to claim it this financial year!

If one of you is working part-time, caring for kids, or earning less right now — this is a simple strategy to keep both your super balances growing.

Want help figuring out if you’re eligible or how to do it? I’m here to help! 💬
