Twelve months ago yesterday, we lost our founder, Kurt Nilsen.

Kurt built Lion Underwriting with vision, courage and an unwavering belief in people. His drive to create something different — a business built on relationships, integrity and pride — remains the foundation of who we are today.

We remember his leadership, his determination, and the culture he created.

We honour him by continuing to build what he started.

We have expanded our pride as we position for growth! In a move to bolster and strengthen our leadership team, founder and managing director Kurt Nilsen has appointed Jarrod O'Brien and Nathan Hepple as non-executive directors.

"We are gearing up to expand and enter a new phase of growth. With that growth, I firmly believe that diversity of thought and perspectives are going to be key to getting our new products just right,” Nilsen commented.
