🏡 Tasmania's property settlement process is going fully digital

A significant change is coming for Tasmanian property owners.

From 1 September 2026, the Tasmanian Land Titles Office will permanently remove paper Certificates of Title from the land titling process.

What does this mean?

✅ Paper Certificates of Title will no longer be required for property transactions.

✅ The Land Titles Register will remain the official record of property ownership in Tasmania.

✅ Property settlements are increasingly being completed electronically using secure platforms such as PEXA.

✅ These changes are designed to support a more efficient, secure and streamlined settlement process.

Whether you're buying, selling or refinancing, it's helpful to understand how property transactions are continuing to evolve in Tasmania.
