We recently had the privilege of providing a sporting excellence scholarship for Logan who represented Victoria in a School Sport Australian Championship competition in the sport of softball. As well as having a brilliant tournament individually, the team came away with a bronze medal - a wonderful achievement!
We were touched to receive a letter from Logan's family, thanking us for our support. We are so pleased to have assisted Logan in competing in a sport he is apparently so passionate about and to create lifelong memories.

Over the weekend, we met with a few of our community groups to take some photos which highlight a snapshot of the support we provide for a range of clubs and groups throughout our region. Can you believe that we have contributed over $900.000 in grants, sponsorships and scholarships to just the ones in this photo??!!

Goodbye Autumn 🍂and hello Winter ❄! We had a very busy month of May with a variety of groups and events attended:
Libby, Andrew and Sheyne attended Lara Bowling Club AGM, where their committee announced our recent grant and sponsorship agreement
Andrew visited the Lara Heritage and Historical Inc. to view the latest instalment of historical panels which highlight significant events in Lara's history
Kyna, Libby, Jurgen and Sheyne met with Friends of Serendip Sanctuary for a spotlight tour of Serendip Sanctuary
Libby attended lunch at Anakie Community House to celebrate Neighbourhood House Week
Natalie and Kyna enjoyed taking in local sport at Lara Football Netball Club 2026 sponsor day
Libby and Andrew went to the Geelong Arts Centre to learn about the progress on the Church redevelopment project
Kyna, Sheyne, Andrew and Libby manned a stall at the Lara Community Centre's open day
As we made a donation to their Winter Warmer Project, Corio Matchworks invited Andrew, Libby and Sheyne to their distribution day where they handed out care packages to locals
Kyna and Andrew went along to the Give Where You Live Foundation "Conversations that Matter" function
Then to finish the month, Natalie, Andrew, Libby, Kyna and Sheyne met with several community groups to take some photos - we'll share these group's stories and our partnerships with them over the coming weeks
We already have a few events locked in the diary for June, so we're looking forward to catching up with more groups and clubs.

Thank you Rotary Club Lara ❤️🥹

After 13 wonderful years, our club will officially be closing on May 31st.

We would like to sincerely thank the Lara community for the incredible support, friendships, and memories shared with us throughout our journey. Your encouragement over the years has meant so much to everyone involved with the club.

As we close this chapter, we also want to acknowledge and thank the many Lara community organisations that have been part of our journey along the way. To give back to the community that has supported us for so long, the remaining club funds will be distributed amongst a range of incredible local organisations we have worked with over the years so that they can continue the valuable work they do in supporting Lara locals.

We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the past 13 years and grateful to have been part of such a caring and supportive community.

We're loving this new vehicle we were able to help fund for the SES Corio Unit . The vehicle has improved the team's ability to respond safely to weather events and with the additional equipment used to fit out the vehicle, it has elevated the vehicle to being a complete storm response unit. It will also assist with rescue capability in the You Yangs and other rural areas.
We love being a local bank that can support our local emergency response units 🥰
