Well Christmas has come and now gone, time to get into some real work, 2018 will bring a new look to this page, some great ideas on creating that very special day, and even a few short videos outlining just what makes a "Naming Day" so very personal for you, your child and your family. One of the reasons people like to have a naming ceremony instead of a religious affair is that the PARENTS are in control, it's all about parents presenting their child to the greater community and friends. To have a major input into the whole concept of creating such a highly personal and yet very public presentation of their child is incredibly fulfilling.

Location is a big thing as well. Outside in the sunshine at the zoo is not only a lot of fun, but it creates an atmosphere of celebration, oneness, well-being and of course, provides a backdrop for some brilliant photos that are just right for posting.

Over the weekend I popped into "The Baby Gallery" on Princes Hwy, Clayton. I stood there transfixed as Mary showed off her skills at gift wrapping.

If you anything like me, it's off to the $2.00 shop and buy one of those nasty little pre-made posh ribbon half ball type things with a bit of double sided sticky (that ALWAYS falls off) and just slap it on.

Yeah, yeah, where's the care, where's the love?

The answer is Mary. She, in a matter of a few minutes created a wonderful ribbon gift-wraped masterpiece.

Well the question I put on my business cards asks "What's in a name?" It seems a lot more than I thought and Victoria has a list of names that CAN'T be used. I post this as general information and a bit of fun......

So the new brochures have arrived and the first batch is out there. Utmost thanks to Bendigo Bank at Marriott Waters as the first to display. Next is a few of the maternity store in and around Melbourne.

Naming Rites offer a non-religious naming ceremony service. Unlike a Baptism or a Christening, there is no religious dogma attached to our service.

Well, here we are, basically right at the very beginning. The new website is live, VistaPrint delivered the new DL size flyers (Eclipse, the local childcare are super keen to display), now it's all about getting out there and celebrating new life.
