Insurance Sales Support Officer

Elders Insurance South Burnett

The role

We are looking for a new SALES SUPPORT OFFICER to add value to our already successful team. You will be fully trained and mentored in company practices. Duties will include:

• Engaging with clients providing advice on Farm, Personal, Business and Commercial Motor insurance, possibly including onsite visits and reviews,
• processing insurance quotations, new business, renewals
• office administration, telephone enquiries and credit control
• Opportunities exist to be trained in other areas of the business including claims and sales.

You
To be successful in this role you must be able to:
• display a knowledge of general insurance (preferred but not required)
• display a high level of computer literacy and accuracy with data input
• have good communication skill and organisational skills
• obtain satisfactory police and ASIC clearances
• obtain or have already Tier 1 or Tier 2 accreditation in Australian Financial Services Reform Act 2001 (FSRA) Insurance

You will also have the following qualities:
• customer service and the ability to manage your own time well and to targets
• teamwork and co-operation
• concern for quality, accuracy and efficiency
• flexibility, and a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
• must be reliable
• Excellent attention to detail

Elders Insurance South Burnett is the Elders Insurance franchise servicing the South Burnett through to Dalby regions.
As a result of growth and expansion, we currently have an opportunity available for the right individual who would like to have a career in the insurance industry.
This position is offered as a permanent full-time role.
As an employee of Elders Insurance South Burnett, your major duties will include:
• providing advice to Business, Commercial Motor, Farm and Personal Insurance clients possibly including onsite visits and reviews,
• processing insurance quotations, new business, renewals on the Elders Insurance System,
• maintaining an existing portfolio of clients,
• claims processing,
• office administration, telephone enquiries and credit control.

To be successful in this role you must be able to display the following skills:
• a knowledge of general insurance (preferred but not required)
• computer literacy,
• well-developed communication skills.

Ideally you will also have or be happy to undertake training in Australian Financial Services Reform Act 2001 (FSRA) Insurance Tier 1 or Tier 2 accreditation. Additionally, you will be able to obtain satisfactory police and ASIC clearances.

You will also have the following qualities:
• a customer focused, sales orientated approach to meeting client expectations and business targets,
• excellent time management, organisational and communication skills,
• able to perform within a team environment,
• ability to maintain qualifications via study and adapt to changes as they happen within the insurance industry.
