A clever message from the ATO.

Pete phoned the plumber one day,
To put his leaky pipes at bay.
The plumber offered a discount for cash,
But after starting, he did a dash.
Just disappeared and the job incomplete,
Poor Pete can’t prove it without a receipt.
Cash-only deals seem great at first,
But not if you’re left with pipes burst!

Get it in writing and get a receipt. Protect yourself and don’t be like Pete: ato.gov.au/cashpayments
