A good reminder to make sure you are valuing yourself correctly in your business. What are you and your skills worth?

There's a famous story of Pablo Picasso.

He was enjoying a meal at a restaurant when a man interrupted him, handed him a napkin and asked:

“Could you sketch something for me? I’ll pay. Name your price.”

Picasso took the napkin, pulled a charcoal pencil from his pocket and started sketching. Using only a few strokes, he drew a goat that was unmistakably a Picasso. He held it up for the man to see.

The man smiled and reached to take the sketch. But Picasso withheld it.

“That will be $100,000.” Picasso said.

The man was astonished. “$100,000?! You drew that in 30 seconds!”

Picasso crumpled up the napkin and stuffed it in his pocket.

“You're wrong.” he said.

“It's taken me 40 years to do that.”

Know your worth.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! My team and I will be taking a break from 12pm today until the 7th Jan. Where possible we have processed wages in advance and will process any others as required but will not be available for any other work. In lieu of client Christmas gifts this year. I have made donations to charities that assist with traumatic events or illnesses that have impacted some of my clients, friends, and families this year. Industry talk indicates a significant number of mygov account hacks going on. Do not click any links asking you to login to mygov and make sure you have a strong password with 2 factor authentication. Hackers are, amongst other things, amending bank details, registering for gst, amending returns for large refunds and your tax file number and identity will also be compromised.

Seem to have been subject to a number of viruses since 30 June. Apologies if you have been trying to get hold of me or arrange a meeting and haven't been able to. I am endeavouring to catch up with all my emails and meeting requests as soon as possible. J

Heads up that if I'm doing your payroll or you need me to check your STP2 settings please DO NOT ENROL YET EVEN IF THE SOFTWARE HAS A POP UP TELLING YOU THAT YOU CAN!

If your settings are not yet updated and you do this its really difficult to fix it.

If you're not sure what STP2 is then definitely don't enrol and flick me an email.
