Last night Anne Germon, Tony Russell and Jeff White were honoured to be among the 400 guests at the Springfield City Group 30th Anniversary celebrations. It was a wonderful event marking 30 years since the purchase of 7,000 acres of bushland which has been transformed into a master planned modern city – the realisation of a dream by Maha Sinnathamby and Bob Sharpless. A truly amazing and inspirational story.

A highlight of the evening was the screening of a short film documenting the history of this once-in-a-lifetime project which featured our very own superstar, Tony Russell. Well done Tony!

Entries are now open for the National Emerging Art Prize 2022.

Founded in 2021, the National Emerging Art Prize was established to provide a highly visible national platform to identify, promote and support the most promising emerging visual and ceramic artists in Australia.

Morgans is a proud supporter of the arts and we are thrilled to be the major sponsor of this exciting initiative once again.

Up to 25 emerging painters will be invited to participate in an exhibition in November with all works available for sale to the public. This prize looks to connect collectors with emerging artists.

The overall single winning entry will receive an acquisitive $20,000 cash prize—donated by Morgans.

The winner will also receive the Michael Reid Gallery Prize of a solo exhibition at Michael Reid Northern Beaches in the following year.

Best of luck to all the artists. More info here:

Save the date: Big Dry Friday is back in 2022 on Friday 18 November. Mark it in your calendar and help us celebrate and support rural Australia.

It's a day to connect city and country and provide support where it's needed most.

Over the past four years we have raised more than $3.4 million with the help of Morgans clients, staff and business partners across Australia and distributed these funds to rural charities assisting with education, mental health and those suffering financial hardship due to natural disasters.

Our main beneficiaries this year will be Rural Aid, Australian Schools Plus and Outback Futures Ltd.
