SENIOR BLOKES SINGING
I have been singing in The Silvertones for about seven years. Before that, I sang in church a lot. Then, I went to a Singing Shed, and we did four Christmas carols, and I just carried on from there. There’s something about singing together that makes a connection that nothing else does. Most people think you have to be able to read music or have a music background, but that’s not true. And there’s something about the company that keeps me coming back every week.
Senior Blokes Singing is six weeks of singing, good company and a bit of fun for older men.
There’s no audition, no need to read music and — importantly — no expectation that you join a choir afterwards.
Think of it as a chance to have a taste of something different. Come along, have a sing, meet some other blokes and see whether you enjoy it.
