Our office will be closed from 12pm today until 8:30am on January 6, 2025. During this period we will still be processing invoices, however, will not be available to take phone calls or respond to participant or provider email enquiries. All enquiries will be responded to when we return.

Assistive Technology can be complicated. There are different cost tiers and risk tiers that need to be considered. Below we've detailed the different risk factors for Assistive Technology, being high risk and low risk.

The risk factor of the assistive technology you're looking to purchase plays a part in determining what kind of evidence is required for the purchase, as well as what funding category it may be purchased from. High risk assistive technology generally requires an assessment from an AT Assessor or Allied Health professional to determine that the purchase will be safe and not harmful to the purchaser.

What is a plan manager and what do we do?

Plan managers are financial intermediaries that work with NDIS participants to assist with the payment of invoices using their NDIS funding. We also assist with tracking budgets and advising on what can be funded using what category of funding.

Navigating your NDIS funding can be confusing, but that's where we come in and we're always happy to help 😄

With the new PACE system that has been rolled out, participants are now required to endorse plan managers in order for budgets and funding to be available. Endorsing a plan manager is a easy as contacting the NDIS on their 1800 number below, or contacting your LAC with the request.

Our final team member to introduce is Janelle! Janelle has been working with us as a data entry assistant since March 2023.

Lisa joined our team at Hervey Bay Tax Solutions in July 2023, but also joined the Hervey Bay Plan Management team earlier this year after previously working as a plan manager at Sound Solutions. She has a great knowledge base on NDIS policies and is around and available to help with client queries.

Next up is Kaitlyn who joined our team in October 2022 as our receptionist and has recently stepped up out of the reception role. She's around 4 days a week to answer questions, assist with budgeting plans, liaise with participants and providers and process invoice payments.
